Hi All,

In my time in Rockford I inherited several pictures that were found in Grandma & Grandpa (Darlene & Lenz) Heinrich's basement.  Always having been interested in our family history I vowed one day I would scan all the pictures in, make them available for family members to view and hope that everyone together could help put names with faces and maybe a little story or history.  With that goal in mind, and several years later, I've started that endeavor.  Below is a slide show of the photos as I put them online.  Below the slideshow I've included the link to go to the photo album yourself and I've made the album public.  As you view the album itself there is a place below for "comments" and I encourage you to utilize that space to share your stories or information on a photo or in general.  Additionally, if there are other photos that people would like me to post, I'll be more than happy to do so, just please email me at dcvance1@gmail.com.  Similarly, if you would like to share your comments with me and have me post it, you can utilize the same email address.  Thank you in advance for all of your help with this endeavor.  I'm looking forward to sharing the information and pictures with all.

The Grandkids - most of these I was able to identify based on memory and/or writing on the back (thanks to the mom's that undertook that!).  There were a couple of them that I wasn't sure which grandkid it was, but the rest I've noted . . however ages were missing and so if anyone could fill that in, it would be most helpful.  In addition, if I've labeled any incorrectly with my faulty memory, please make sure you let me know.  Add comments by going here.  Since all the grandkids are grown now, I thought (if there was no objections) that I would pass the photos onto each of them to share with their families.

WWII Era Photos. - These were somewhat better on identification but there are still some gaps.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  If there was writing on the back of the photo of any kind I've scanned that as well and merged it with the photo so we know what goes with what.  If you got the album direct (here) you can read what I've noted the writing to say and/or add your own comments.
